Do you remember January 3, 2007?? What I am about to share is just a History lesson. It is history and nothing can change it, although the Democrats and the liberal media keep trying to rewrite it.

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009 when Barack Obama took office, it was actually January 3rd 2007, two years before that. It was the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.
With the liberal media: radio, television and print giving us their incessant propaganda that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007, the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the House, and began controlling our economy. On that day:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP increase for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies along with a Republican Congress SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Remember that day... January 3rd, 2007. It was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
WE CAN THANK THE DEMOCRATS (especially Barney) for taking us from that almost 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP increase and 4.6% Unemployment to the CRISIS we have today by (among MANY other things) dumping 5 to 6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- UNPRECIDENTED FIASCOES!
The record shows that President George W. Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie -- starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy. Barney blocked the administration efforts calling it a "Chicken Little Philosophy" Well, I think we all know, the sky did fall!
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac during the 2008 presidential campaign while Barney‘s live in lover was an executive at Freddie? Why it was OBAMA of course.
And who fought against the reform of Fannie and Freddie?
Well that was OBAMA and the Democrat Congress, especially BARNEY!!!!
So whenever you hear someone continuing to blame Bush, Remind them what happened on JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"
That car that Obama kept harping on that was supposed to represent our economy that Bush was supposed to have driven into the ditch. Well Bush was in that car, but the Democrats put him in the back seat while they controlled the gas pedal and the steering wheel -- while THEY were driving the economy into the ditch. Budgets may start in the White House, but they are not budgets until they are passed by Congress. Budgets come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party. Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011. The Republicans got the House back in 2010 and they passed a budget, but it never got passed the Democrat Senate. Even the budget that Obama sent to Congress last year was rejected by the Democrat, Harry Reid, controlled Senate 96 to zero. Even the Democrats could not hold their collective noses for that monstrosity. The Democrat controlled Senate has not been able to pass a budged in more that 1,000 days.
In that first year starting January 3rd, 2007, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending a little, that is when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.
For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. George Bush’s only options were to go along or shut down the government. And while shutting down the government may sound like a great idea, it is political suicide. And when Obama took over the White House, Congress and Obama passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 spending disaster.
So where was Barack Obama before his inauguration? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.
If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, Obama inherited a deficit that he voted for, and then he voted to expand that deficit four-fold. It is just a historical fact that the Democrats created the mess that Obama inherited, and Obama has certainly made it worse, not better.
The media is not going to share these historical facts with the public. If this word is going to get out, each of us needs to share these facts with those that still think that Bush made this mess. There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us spreads the word!
"The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by the people who vote for a living." Some of those people are still capable of common sense. We need to reach them.
